Yay! I finally finished the Tsukihime walkthrough~ (http://www.geocities.com/max3075/walk.htm) I hope it helped people get a general feel of the Tsukihime game. My next project will be something on Fate. I don't think I'll have the stamina to do a complete walkthrough like Tsukihime though... Sorry if you were wating for Kagetsu Toya or Melty Blood =P
For those who already read the Epilogue, did you understand what it was? Yes, the epilogue happens several years after Tsukihime. Shiki was finally able to meet Aoko again and say what he always wanted to tell her. I think this is what's ultimately different between Tsukihme and many other Bishoujo games, where the story isn't just about the relationship between the main character and a herione. Tsukihime was a story about Tohno Shiki. It might be surprising for some people, but Tsukihime already has this set ending even beyond Kagetsu Toya and Melty Blood. But there's a lot more possibility to the storyline. According to what they say, it looks like he just fought another big battle that involves both the Mage's Association and the Church. I hope to see another Tsukihime game in the future! ^__^
The other thing I wanted to mention, is the biggest question in Tsukihime: Why did Shiki kill Arcueid? I think I finally got the answer, and it's NOT Nanaya's blood. The skill that Shiki used to kill Arcueid certainly comes from his Nanaya blood, but it's just how she was killed, not why he killed. Shiki's alternate ego was indeed an higly skilled assassin and senstive towards non-human beings, but he wasn't someone who will kill others for no reason. Nanaya Shiki seems to me like a lonely person who's emotion was paralyzed since his real parents were killed. That's why the only time he will switch to the Nanaya mode is when his emotion reawakens through the hatred of an evil enemy that wastes people's lives. The reason Nanaya Shiki in Melty Blood was evil is because it's an image created from the fear of himself. The real Nanaya Shiki is like the emotionless one you see in the cut-in expression during his level 3 special. Now when Shiki killed Arcueid in the original game, he was excited about it, just like raping someone. Someone is talking to him in his mind, and if it isn't Nanaya, it must be Roa and/or Shiki(2). The one that has a special feeling towards Arcueid is Roa, and the one that has a corrupted murderer mind is Shiki(2). The reason it happened all of a sudden that day, is probably because of Kohaku. She must have drugged Shiki from the first night so his mind was becoming weak against outside influence. The tragedy is that no one was evil from the beginning. Roa just admired Arcueid and wanted to become like her, but when he achieved reincarnation, he lost his original personality and became a spirit that its only purpose is to live on. Shiki(2) had his mind corrupted by Roa and Kohaku. Kohaku had his mind corrupted by Makihisa. Shiki meeting Arcueid was really, really an accident. Well, that's my conclusion, please let me know your opinions! Thanks for reading~

Well, spectacular work nonetheless!

About working on Fate... what do you think about working with NLA on the english patch? It'll help them to finish faster and having both an english patch and an english translation walkthrough is a bit redundant...

About Shiki killing Arcueid:
It may have been what you say. Though in like the Akiha arc, Shiki starts to follow Arcueid, but then turns around and follows Satsuki instead.
We may never know.

If I could help them, I would have done so already, plus all the groups doing the Tsukihime/Melty Blood translation~ Not to mention an english translation is a lot more work than just a walkthrough. But we all have only a limited time...

Well maybe Tohno Shiki's reason was more concerned about his classmate more than him becoming a murderer.
OR
that could mean that Satsuki is bigger threat to Shiki? Usually when human is infested it takes about years to become vampire, but Satsuki resurrected about minutes later when she was attacked by Shiki(2). She even has her own Reality Marble.
well I hope that those Satsuki-related questions will be answered in React....

Wow that's a really interesting way to see it =D Now that I look back at it, whatever happened to Satsuki isn't confirmed in the Arc/Ciel side of the story. Maybe she's still alive somewhere, acquiring power... Some great possibility in Re-Act?!

i havent realized that satsuki didnt die in the near side of the moon storyline....

Thanks a lot for the walkthrough on Tsukihime. Really filled in a ton of pieces for myself and some people I know who don't post here. Your hard work was really appreciated.
Just as a possible suggestion on Fate if you're fishing for some ideas, maybe you could consider translating some portions of the side material such as in extra booklets or something perhaps in the LE? I know some of it is so picture heavy that it would probably be difficult but it seemed like there were some text heavy sections too that might work like in the encyclopedia. I have no idea if this is a good idea at all, but just a thought if you're looking for something that wouldn't be covered in a general translation patch.
Another idea on a smaller project is I think you were kicking around translating the stat pages a while back and that would certainly go a long way towards helping people put the pieces together on the plot if they need an english translation. Just knowing who the servants all are and how they fight and everything would provide a lot for the work involved I think. I don't think I had any idea of of how complicated the stats were until I read responses to my questions in the Fate thread.
I can certainly empathize with not wanting to do another walkthrough. I was amazed that game went so long.

Are you sure that the meeting of Aoko and Shiki is a chance event? I suspected that she is purposelly looking for him, as he has powers that can affect the balance of things, and in the epilogue it might seem Shiki just do something major that is shaked the whole world of Tsukihime.
Just a thought, after reading thru everything here.

well when shiki first showed his power to Aoko she got angry.
that made me think that meeting of shiki and aoko was just a coincidence.
