Alaya is the spirit, the combined will, of humanity to survive.... This is contrasted to Gaia, the spirit of Earth....
Most of the time, they're against each other.... since human progress destroys the Earth....

Oh my... it seems that you got things wrong my friend (I was the guy who told him about this) and it's ALAYA not ayala , LOL...
Alaya is like a balance force, being the other great force Gaia (you sure know about him considering all you WOD knowledge)... Alaya is more like a force that guides the humanity.... I'm really bad explaining this things, not unlike a certain someone who had to explain me all that things about WOD and that guy wyvern during 4 HOURS (I'm talking to you in case you haven't guessed yet).... just wait, someone will elaborate more than me... You know how much I suck at explaining things ...

Well, there's a character named Araya Souren in Kara no Kyoukai, and there's the Buddhist concept described at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alaya or http://www5a.biglobe.ne.jp/~kofuji/teachings/tea_7/tea_7_a.html - he's probably referring to the latter.
I'm not very clear on what it means in its adaptation into the Kinoko-verse, but I believe the operative sentence is "The ālaya consciousness accumulates all potential energy for the mental and physical manifestation of one's existence, and supplies the substance to all existences." Meaning it acts as a sort of repository of the collective desires, power, and will of the human race.

Its Wyrm!!!! not Wyvern, Wyverns are mythological pseudo dragons(smaller, Lionesque features and a Scorpion tail).
For the rest of you Thanks alot , that clear up alot of things (and sorry for the mane mispelling), but now my morbid curiosity ask the cuestion "where the hell did Gaia and alaya come from?"
P.S. Is it me or you guys refere to Gaia as a guy ?

Well, given how Gaia died in Angel Note, I'd say Gaia began its existence when the Earth got the ability to support life....
And for Alaya, I'm agreeing with sssssz that it came up when humanity got its instinct to survive....
I consider Gaia as... well an 'it' I guess... its a spirit....

I'm actually just basing this off from two facts: 1. The two have been defined as spirits for a certain will (i.e. survival of something) 2. Based on what was said in one of the older threads where it was stated that Gaia DID die... and what its effects were.
And where the heck I got the rest? Speculations, assumptions, and my tangled knowledge based on the main site (with a few things I picked up from the threads).

What I want to know is how Gaia died but there are Types for like Pluto and Saturn. Its not like they're exactly hospitable. Or Mercury for that matter.
