 Fate RPG Final
« Thread Started on May 29, 2004, 10:21pm »

Since response was so lacking on an existing thread, just wanting to bump this again in an attempt to get some response for who's interested and in what times. Besides VeX I know sssssz, Banquo, and Overkill were at least interested at some time, and I can say I'm a given so far as playing because my schedule is almost completely flexible outside of a one week I'll be gone on vacation during the summer. Some days I don't go to bed until 5 AM and sometimes I get up decently early. Just depends on my mood. People should note time zones.

If others are interested they can still speak up.

Regardless, just trying to wrap this up and if you were someone I mentioned and are not interested, state that too please so theres an idea of whether having the rpg is still plausible if nothing else.

I'm guessing with VeX doing school work and I know Overkill doing a job during the week probably either evenings, with a preference towards Friday, or weekends would be best. We may be able to manipulate things a little though.

If anyone wants to do the GMing in particular, thats still up for grabs too. I can do it by default if necessary so long as no one expects me to have an encyclopedic knowledge of Type Moon since I can't read japanese.

If people still have details and questions they want to bring up so far as the system we can still do that too. Try and make them complete and to the point at this stage so we know exactly what we're working with.

After we get this out of the way I'll try and compile the character creation information for servants from the thread in a condensed form in one post. That will be a mostly final version of character creation sheets since no one has made any objections as yet. Assuming no last minute objections or alterations from people, we'll then go with them and we can get started on putting all that together.

Masters are mostly settled (as they shouldn't vary too much outside of point cost) and shouldn't be a difficulty to wrap up outside of a few sticky detail remainders like mana transferring.

Anyway, if interested, RSVP here so we know you are for sure.

Hmm... I'd put more consideration into joining if I knew anything about Fate or was sure I'd be here during the summer.
Might be ending up in Asia for vacation.

I've played over the internet a few times and Overkill has too (since we played once together, though that lasted a short time). We can use whatever messenger. Its fine with me.

Any time preferences Banquo?

I'm available most weeknights, but only for a very short time (think 7:30-12:00 EST). The best night for me to play during the week is Thursday. I have to get up at 6:30 every morning during the week so it isn't feasible for me to stay up later.

However, the weekends are a different story. I'm taking a class but there's only two short papers involved, so weekends are basically completely open. If we don't play too late on Sunday everything's fine.

4 and a half hours is considered a very short time?

It is when you have to bobble everyone's schedule in that time period and try and make it work because you can be sure someone else can play an hour later but will be unavailable during that first hour, etc, etc. And generally, rpgs do take a good deal of time. A couple hours is really kind of the minimum and its not uncommon for it to go much longer depending on how hardcore people are and how much time they have.

Ah yes I remember, pesticide leak, 5 college nerds forced to be locked in a windowless dorm room until the
cleaning crew got rid of the pesticides. What would be known as the 32 consecutive hours of D&D powered by guana and red bull.

Yeah. Probably the best thing would be if a player made a recap or something if people are interested. That way the GM won't accidently spill any beans.
