I checked the Type moon site and to my dismay, it seems that there are some problems with the Fate game. Apparently, the game has some serious bugs and some people can't even install the game properly. There are also cases of people encountering errors trying to run the game. Type moon warned of possible virus attack(I think) upon installation of the game and a time lag in the game which causes some kind of error msg... In any case, Type moon gave some instructions to remedy the situation where the customer has to run some exe program in the 3rd disc to create a pc id file which has to be sent to typemoon thru email...
I just hope that I won't encounter any problems with mine, otherwise its gonna be really troublesome for me since I'm no Jap...

The problem seems to do with the CD copy protection. (Protection so people won't just rip the CDs and upload/download it. I know it sounds stupid, but copyright issues are a serious problem in Japan) For that reason, some CD drives may encounter problem playing from the CDs.(Not installing, but when running) They are doing support over their webpage like you said. You probably only have to create that Unique ID and they will send you a fixed .exe file.
That virus attack message is saying that if you get this one message, it means your computer is ALREADY infected by some virus in the first place.
5. Enter your information on the form. メールアドレス = Email address PCユニークID = Paste the ID that you created. エラーの状況 = Contents of error.
6. Submit form.
7. They will send you a new .exe file.
I think the only problem for an English speaker is explaining the contents of error, but it states the possible errors on that site so it should't be too much of a problem. I suggest just copy and paste that Japanese. There seem to be only two:
Fateを起動すると「tm.exe」という実行ファイルがアプリケーションエラーが発生し、ゲームが開始できない。 You can't start the game because you get an application error when your run "tm.exe"
「処理の遅延が発生しました」というメッセージが出て、ゲームが開始されない。 You get a message that says 「処理の遅延が発生しました」 and the game won't start.
「一部ファイルが破損しています」 This is the error when you have a virus on your computer. You need a virus scanner instead.
I don't know how many people will be needing it, but if they do, hope it helps ^_^

Ok, now is official, I can't play Fate/stay night. I tried to install it in two different PC's and it gives me the same error in both: when I try to execute "Fate.exe" an error message which doesn't say anything and a blue error screen in a new window appears . I have tried to follow the instructions of Evospace, but when I send the form it don't accept it. With the help of an online translator I have discovered that it says that the ID it is too long (??). As I suppose that nobody is going to be able to help me, I am going to have a Fate / stay night game only as a reminder...
P.D. My english is worse than ever in this message, but I am so discouraged that I don't have will to review it...

Ok I don't know if this helps, but there is a patch file on the Typemoon site. I suppose you replace the original Fate.exe with the patched one and try it out.

I think that .exe just creates a log file... so they'll know exactly what the problem is. Look for that log file and open it if you can see anything? >.<
