Evospace i'm still a little confused about the cloth of Magdala and what "absolute power over men" means. Does it mean she mind controls them or does that mean she just becomes an irresistable object of desire when she uses that cloth?

Actually where was shirou the entire time that Atraxia was taking place? Since you mention that he appears at the end, does he appear as in physical flesh or as a spiritual apparation.

I'm a bit confused too, but I guess you can say that every single characters in the story are in spiritual apparation form. A copy of Shirou is placed in the day time, and Avenger's main consciousness is placed with Bazette at night. I'm pretty sure Shirou's a fake copy all the way. That's why he forgot about the tracing ability before the bridge scene.

It means men who are binded by the cloth are unable to escape with their own powers. I don't know the historical background of the cloth though.

Actually that's one of the biggest mystery in Hollow Ataraxia. I thought he was real in the After story but...

Yes, I was also iffy about the After story, but I just re-read it and found a bit that Rider existed too. She just went out to work. Saber & Rider can't possibly exist in the same ending, and yes, Bazette had the artificial arm that Avenger turned into. So I can conclude that After story is just a "What if" scenario.
The only other time the real Shirou could have been there then is the Ryudo Temple prologue. When he saw Karen for the first time there, something might have happened to him/them.

The taint is because of angras identity is reinforced by not his own existence but by the wish of others for him to become all the evils of the world. The holy grail, being a wish granting machine reinforced that and thus becomes tainted.
The one in HA seem more like Angras core personality rather than the identity other forced on him in fate.

The loop already happened by the time the prologue began (there's plenty of hints too the mountain of corpses, the stairway to the reverse moon, etc). Also, Ilya mentioned that Angra actually possessed/synchronized with Shirou during the day time, so I dunno if we can really say that was a complete imposter.
Also a comment about the encyclopedia, but I thought the real Avasta could only record information, not do any damage like Verg Avasta?
One more comment about the epilogue, but the original name for it was 4.5γϊk. It's just a joke ~_~;

All right, I just got CCCP, played op1.avi, it was awesome. Very reminiscent of the Melty Blood opening movie so much so that I wonder if Type-Moon makes these things as Flash movies first THEN makes them into .avi/.mov/whatever. (Hey, the F/HA certainly looks like Flash to me.)

I dunno either. The core personality is Shirou, but the one who's in control is Avenger, but he's Shirou from the heart.

EvoSpace: Based on those lines alone, it would mean that the Heaven's Feel timeline has been discarded, and we're left with Fate or UBW happening. Which one it might be is beyond me... Ilya being around at the time of the storytelling would have given a definite answer.

That's what I thought at first, but then it seems weird that Rin would be in the first half of the prologue but gone for most of the loop and there's still all the other phenomena that the other students saw. It could have just been one of those random moments when Shirou became slightly aware of what really happened (like when he saw Saber). He also mentioned in the prologue that there was another major important reason why he came there (that's when Karen showed up) but forgot what it was.

Yeah, you're right. I re-read the prologue several times and it have to be within the loop. Ilya's castle mini game was the most obvious hint.
I personally think it's the moment Avenger realized how life is interesting, and how he decided to participate in it.
I have one question though. What was the point of the story about the student A in the prologue? All the other ghost stories had some kind of connection with the main storyline...
