That would be Medusa when she turned into a monster (all these guys just kept coming and coming to kill her so one day she started to enjoy killing them and ended up like that).

Avenger Card. Which Servant is 'Avenger'? Is there any explanation why there was no Avenger type in the previous war?

Also, this games rawks utterly. I'm completely floored ;D

The Avenger type is forbidden because they're like anti-Heroes. They're one of those paradoxical Fate hero type that is supposed to be *weak* but obviously causes a whole lot of pain to everyone else. When Saber fought the Avenger in F:HA, he said his weapons are all low-grade junk (Sword Breaker and something Avenger), but worked surprisingly well.

If I recall the Einzberns summoned one (Angra Mainyu) in the 3rd Holy Grail War and everything started going downhill from there.

Ah, thanks for the explanation. I figured as much about the Avenger class but had no idea about the Einzberns summoning Mainyu in the 3rd War.

One more question... I have yet to play the game (besides the mini games ;D) and have instead used paper's save data to take a quick look at the CGs. I tried not to take too hard of a look at the CGs, for fear of spoiling myself, but I don't remember anything that looked like a new Avenger Servant. I do remember there were a bunch of wolf... things but I wouldn't think that they would be Avenger. Does the Avenger that Saber fights in HA not have any CGs? Or have I just skimmed over him in my *horrible* attempt at not spoiling myself? :-[

*edit* Or maybe the wolf thing is Avenger...? There looks to be one group of CGs that has a normal figure with some funky looking weapons... but that shadow looks like it turns into a wolf thing.

The transparent human shaped guy with 2 claw like weapons is the Avenger. He looks like that because you're not supposed to know about his identity.

The wolves are like spirits of the dead I think.

There is no CG for the Avenger and Saber fight because it was totally lopsided in Saber's favor. I had the impression that Avenger had about as much chance of beating Saber as Caster beating Saber (which should be 0) but, as is with the original Saber vs Caster battle, Avenger did manage to pull a win using some third rate accessory...
