I'm still trying to figure the plot out but I think Shirou becomes the Avenger when the moon changes color (which is the final arc is call Heaven's Reverse/Anti Moon). I'm told from another message board that Angra Mainyu is trying to return to nothingless (i.e. Hollow Ataraxia) and saying goodbye to everyone that participated before he goes. I've no idea if this is actually true though.

It's kind of hard to figure out.
Basically the Holy Grail involved in Hollow was the one from the 3rd war. the Heaven's Fall (the one that got corrupted by Angra Mainyu). Bazette made a wish to not die after getting her arm cut off by Kotomine (and the grail + Angra granted that by having her repeat the 4 days that she participated in the 5th). All the people involved in the 5th war were dragged in, except at night or whenever Bazette ran into them, they played the roles of characters in the 3rd war. That's what I understood about it.
Angra Mainyu basically took the role of her servant AND Shirou (which is why he looks like him and has bits of his personality as his core). All the other characters, except for Karen, were the actual people involved in Fate/Stay Night not just copies.
Karen is sent from the Church to monitor the area after Kotomine's successor left. She's kind of like Angra in that she's not the real Karen (she wasn't involved in the 5th war, but has the equivalent role of Kotomine hence she's also the master of Lancer and Gilgamesh).
At least's that the way I understand things.
Angra got bored of the loop and wanted to end Bazette's wish (and save her). This would also mean that he would turn back into nothingness.

Ok... let me try to get this,

Bazzette made a wish in the past, a wish not on a grail or anything, just made a wish... and it just up and came true, for no apparent reason. Ok, someone was feeling giving.

Then there's Karen here. The church sent her to watch "the war". Let's not note that it's a war no one's currently fighting. Let's not even note that it's over, and it's been over. No, the war that's not happening needs watched, and lucky that, since Mr. Mainyu seems to want a word on that topic.

I suppose this is following heaven's feel's sad ending, since Shirou needs to be replaced. It seems a nifty way to get him back though.

But then of course just about everybody's coming back... for a while at least...

So are they going to up and have ANOTHER war? Everybody's here, we got the chips, we got the drinks, we got the arsenal, how's about a party?

Do they even explained why all the girls are around which is mutually conflicting with the 5 endings of F:SN? The only person who survived in all 5 endings is Rin (and Sakura, but irrelvant in 3 and insane in 1). Did Shirou Emiya made a wish from the grail to bring all the girls together or something?

It's kind of vague. Nobody is really sure yet as to what route end Hollow follows, but the general concensus seems to be that the looped world draws on all of the possibilities that could have happened in the 5th War (and the reason why Kotomine didn't show up was that in he would die in all cases). Frankly, I think it could follow any ending except for the Rin Good one. The only thing that's sure is that Saber is gone in the real world.

There is no real "war". It's just a charade with Bazette and Angra running around in circles fighting against servants playing the role of characters from the 3rd war at night and getting killed most of the time.

Are all of those CGs won from winning the mini games? I assume most of them are from the card game? I need to get playing that one!

Also, can anyone get me the Evil Saber x Dark Sakura wallpaper in 1600 x 1200? I promised a friend that I would get him one but then realized that even though the game allows for multiple resolutions to be chosen, my monitor won't let me PRINT SCEEN one. Any help would be appreciated ^_^;

The first 7 is from the card mini game, after you've beaten it with Tiger you get to play with the other teams and you get one CG corresponding to each team.

The last one is from the Tohsaka Temple minigame after you bought all other 39 pictures.
