I haven't read the WARNING-SPOILERS- Fate/hollow ataraxia pic so i don't know if it's already mentioned or not. But any guess to who he is referring to?

<to those who can't read Japanese; Lancer is mentioning he could be beaten by two people in the hole world, maybe three if circumstances were right, with spear throwing>

In other words, which heroes in the world are better skilled in spears than Cu Chulian... Specifically Javelin throwing.

Could one be like his teacher?

For some reason I'm inclined to say Odin and Lancer's very own daddy, Lugh.
Odin has to rank first for his ability to dish divine punishment from the heavens through the art of javelin throwing.

..and the third could be his teacher or best friend

Of course... these are just mythology-based guesses

My guess for that speculative third one would be none other than Hercules / Herakles, who was talented at all sorts of weaponry, war, and sports, especially since he created the Olympics. He might not be able to match up against Cu Chulainn in terms of precision and overall use of the weapon as a spear, but he's far, far stronger and could hurl a javelin both incredibly fast and over a great distance. Which would go with the "if the circumstances were right" qualifier.

Hello, first time poster. I found this topic interesting and decided to register just so I could reply in it.

Anyways, here is my opinion on the subject. I'm not so sure that Odin should count, since most servants are heroes, and demi-Gods, not Gods themselves. Though since Lugh, Cu Chulains father, is a God maybe he does count? It's a tough call.

I'm inclined to agree with the thought that his master would be able to defeat him. Scathach does sound like a very scary woman afterall, and she did own Gae Bolg before passing it on to him.

As for whom the others might be, I'm not so sure, but Hercules would definitely be pretty far up on that list if you ask me.

I'm sure he's just referring to other heroes that'd fall under the Lancer category that he knows of, but we do not.

Lancer also said no one can beat him in fishing and that didn't go too well, either.
