Still working on it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The countless ground of worship
I went out to the hill behind Ryuudouji. The series of mountains spreading beneath brought back memories of the pure strength of nature. Beyond them lies the forest of the Einzberns. When I thought of that, I felt that this familiar landscape wasn't so different from that of a far-off country.
"......" I've brought myself here many times. There shouldn't have been anything that would have moved me, as I was used to seeing the surrounding area. The strong light of the sun made me squint my eyes. The scenery rubbing in my chest made me squint my eyes. Whatever it was, right now, being in this silence brought my feelings to ease. If I loosen up and relax, I could end up gazing at the mountains until the stars come up.
"....No, now isn't the time for that. I should save the sunbathing for another time." Winter break.....won't work since the scenery's will be covered in snow, so we ought to have have another boarding trip next summer. Everybody would enjoy having a picnic over here too.
"Next year, huh. That seems like a long time away."
What remains until then would be a different story. Stretching out my back muscles, I left the graveyard with no worries.

Dead Bridge (I)
I am heading to Shinto by crossing the bridge. At this time, there are no people using the pedestrian walkway. This evening, with no cars using the roadway, the sound of wind blowing from the wind echoed well.
"This is becoming more and more like a rehash of what happened 6 months ago. Back then, I also,"
Went with Saber and Tohsaka to Shinto, was it? Not trading words with each other, I had been anxious about where I was being taken, but at the same time I had been welcoming the newness of it.
But how do I feel now? Everyone knows there's something strange going on. Not knowing what exactly is strange, or rather, whether it is wrong or not, I have settled into the reopened Heaven's Feel.
"....Yeah well, I don't mind there not being anyone that would pick a fight for no reason."
There is no reason to fight. Therefore there is no risk of dying. Someone to mutually despise, hatred that causes ruin, however,
"__________,Gi.....!!!?" An instant. No, I probably didn't comprehend what had happened to the very end.
", Bh......!"
I collapsed on the railing. Heaps of blood and life are spilling out from me. Nothing can be done to save me. This was a lethal wound, almost the same as instantaneous death.
"Ha____________,ah"
My dying eyes firmly caught sight of him unconsciously. Because there's no reason to fight, there is no danger of death, eh. The glare from his eyes looked down on me for thinking that stupidly.
"So, nofa________"
Without saying anything, he nocked the fatal arrow. Unable to dodge or block, the second arrow ca___________

Dead Bridge (II) I am heading to Shinto by crossing the bridge. At this time, there are no people using the pedestrian walkway. This evening, with no cars using the roadway, the sound of wind blowing from the wind echoed well.
"________This brings back memories. Back then, I went just like this with Saber to the church, didn't I?"
"Yes. Shirou, who had still not understood what it meant to be a Master; I, who had not yet been your Servant; and Rin, who had still been our enemy. Looking back on it again, we truly were an odd trio weren't we?"
Saber chuckled. The both of us were laughing from the memories of that night a half year ago.
Even now...no, I'll remember it for the rest of my life.
That night was special. The time I was with Saber during the Heaven's Feel had always been special, but that night was the beginning of it all.
"But Saber, you were in a pretty sour mood. I couldn't talk to you that much because that was the first time we met, but when we were going to the church, you were totally silent."
"Of course I would be in a sour mood. Now that it is over I can tell you, but my treatment was infuriating. If you were going to disguise me, there ought to have been a better way of doing so."
I see. M'lady Saber was displeased by the yellow raincoat, hmm? Then again, she was using it often, which would make it a silent resistence towards me?
"Hmph, it appears that you have something to say. Very well, let us settle this no_________Shirou.....!"
"Wha_______" Sword bounced against light. The aftershock caused the air and the shafts of the bridge to rattle.
"Stay back....! A hostile Servant is attacking.....!" The second shot....! I couldn't grasp what was happening. Saber stood in front of me, repulsing the incoming bolt of light with her sword. Where they were coming from, I couldn't tell.
"A hostile Servant...!? Shit, who the hell________" The third shot. Saber once again deflected the light bolt. .....This is not good. The light bolt that was just fired was definitely more powerful. This one was still deflectable, but if the rest keep increasing in force, how long will Saber be able to hold out?
If Saber were alone, she would move forward while deflecting the bolts of light and could probably defeat the sniper before she is defeated. But the one being targeted is me. Once Saber moves away frrom me, those bolts of light will strike through me. As long as Saber is protecting me, she can't move forward. ____No. We may not be able to retreat to Miyamachou. Because of me, one of the bolts will____
"Shirou, I will block these attacks.....! For now, do not move....!" The fourth shot. There was urgency mixed in Saber's voice. The enemy knows that I am her weakness. The light bolts, fired at a wide open Emiya Shirou, are being deflected by Saber, but in a posture that made it difficult.
"......"
______At this rate, Saber is going lose. I know what has to be done. What I'm going to have to do is watch my own back.
Focus on my nerves. Just before I could see the bolts of lights. If they can be seen, they can be stopped. The old me may not be able to a thing. But the Emiya Shirou that survived through the Heaven's Feel must have the experience and ability to make that possible. And finally, the fifth shot. "T.....!!!" Saber was knocked off balance. ____No doubt about it.
These bolts of light were long-range shots using Noble Phantasms.
Despite how powerful Saber is, she can not completely stop long-range sharpshooting where each bullet is a "Noble Phantasm". If Saber were alone, she could have avoided them no matter how many, without having to deflect them with a sword....!
"......! Saber, watch out....!" "Kuh, Shirou, wait! I can take one hit____! No, you can't. Saber will be defeated by the sixth shot. That was the conclusion taken from this method of defense.
"Don't underestimate me!" I can watch my own back. I glare at our attacker. I see the light being fired, aimed at my forehead. I see it. Now that I see it, next I____
"__________Huh?"
I totally forgot. What was I supposed to do next?
"........!......, ....!!!!"
......I screwed up. What was it, what did I do wrong? Was I forgetting something, did I not know something yet? Where had I missed the fundamental parts of the skills of the man named Shirou? My brain came oozing out from the hole in my forehead.
" "
I can't hear what she saying too well. What should have been done, what was it that I forgot? My mind was becoming distant. Without reaching the 4th day, I fell out of the race. This still wasn't enough. Probably, I couldn't use it because I hadn't tested it, even when I knew it naturally.
Now_____where do I go to fully grasp the fundamental specs of Emiya Shirou....?

Awakening (incomplete)
I brought myself to the storehouse. I don't have anything that needs to be repaired right away, but I came because I felt like it.
I sat cross-legged on my usual seat, and surveyed my surroundings, not doing anything in particular. ".....Now then." I've been here enough. I couldn't think of anything to really do either. Guess I'll go back to my room and take a nap.
But, um. Why am I coming to the storehouse at night?

The dialogue here clearly shows "Shirou" speaking in a third-person aspect, with this "the Emiya Shirou that survived the Heaven's Feel..." Avenger is thinking more openly here compared to before.

I'll finish the last part to this when I get some free time. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- To my unforgotten friend
There were no signs of people in the chapel. The priest of this church, Kotomine was deceased...actually, publicly he had disappeared. A replacement had come, but he had returned to his country some time ago. The church, as a result, was sealed off.
"....Oof."
I rested myself on the bench. To be by myself like I am now causes a number of piled up questions to rise.
There were many things that I had to think about. Among them, the most immediate and the most prioritized one was____
"What Onii-san was forgetting, right?"
So said the blonde boy standing by the altar.
"________You." "Hi. You looked like you were having some trouble so I came to give you a hand." He walked towards me slowly. This resembled the priest that had once been in this chapel. He would pinpoint my worries accurately and expose a truth I didn't want to know.
"I'm forgetting something, huh. And you would happen to know?" "Yes. I know. Both Saber-san and Sakura-san should be thinking that it is strange why Onii-san has been getting lazy." Getting lazy....? I'm not aggressively trying to get to the bottom of this predicament, but I was under the impression that "getting lazy" had a diffent nuance to it...?
"Getting lazy? So what have I been slacking off on?" "Your daily training. Onii-san, you haven't been using sorcery at all have you? Did you go even once do work in the storehouse since the war restarted?"
"____Ah, that's just because...."
I didn't know how to use it; no, I just didn't have the opportunity to practice. The significance of this warranted only a "Oh, that's right."
"That is significant. It's a litte abnormal for a training maniac like Onii-san not practice because he doesn't have the chance to." ".....Mrm. Yeah, that is true..."
Just as the boy said, the very idea of Emiya Shirou not training himself was abnormal. So that was the true identity of this feeling of strangeness. The problem was why I had forgotten that fundamental habit. If there is an "enemy", then, was this feeling itself sorcery planted by the enemy?
"I forgot my sorcery training....Wait, does this mean I can't use "reinforcement" sorcery anymore?" "That's not possible. Onii-san, you only carelessly forgot about your own powers. You just haven't used them. People can work with most of what they know, but they can't venture into the unknown. They don't know how to, that's why they can't do anything."
(images of storehouse, circuit, archer) "A---, ah." Clang. The gears started turning. The abilities that had not been activated simply by existing, began to move gradually.
"That's right. I haven't lost my circuits. I can fight whenever I want to."
What I forgot was the means of how to fight. This was the wrought iron that no one else could copy, that no one else knew, of the sorcery-user, Emiya Shirou.
"Yep, yep. But you should know that it's suicide to go into real combat without using it once. Please don't forget about practicing in the usual place." He had nothing else to say probably. The boy began to leave the chapel the same way as a priest would.
"......Thanks for the advice. But is it really ok? Weren't you told not to get too involved?"
"Mmm, I really shouldn't. I'll get scolded at definitely. She's scary when she's mad. Before she used to insult me, but now she would ignore me. It's pretty tough. It's porca miseria."
"?? Porca what??" "It's slang. She... wasn't brought up very well." Say what. Blondy went up the airs with a gloomy expression.
"_____Well, as long as I made some progress." That fundamental factor I forgot. I remembered what the one weapon that Emiya Shirou.., no, actually I remembered the fact that he has a weapon. When I have some time, I'll try reenacting that training.

Awakening (Fake)
.....My heart is throbbing. A clear objective is thickening the blood throughout my body.
"....Now I see. This is the reason why I've been coming to the storehouse for no reason at all."
Even if I myself don't know, my body had continued to plead me to go. Go here. Take back your former self. Know your weapon. Without it, I couldn't fight with Saber. My body remembered that truth.
Sitting in a full lotus position, I focus my nerves.
".....Now then. The remaining problem is how well I can use it."
How long have I not done this? Seeing as I can't recall that, I might have problems in even activating the circuits. ....I'm not confident. With the intention of going back to the basics, I was buried in myself.
It seems all that worrying was pointless. Activation of my circuits as well as reinforcement sorcery worked very easily.
"...Huh. It isn't a big deal if I realize what I'm doing." Anticlimactic, but I suppose this is what it usually was like to get out of a slump. Also, surprisingly, this was interesting. This was the first time that it felt "fun" to train and use sorcery."
....I can finally go further. I thought of the "sniper" that I shouldn't have seen yet. I finally remembered what my own weapon was. Now, I'll polish this power as long as time permits.

One hundred views of corpses
I was making my way to the back hill from the forest path. The weather was once again pleasant. When I get past this curtain of trees, what I should see is the completely fresh view of the blue sky and mountains.
My field of vision now expanded. Before me was the great view of a pile of corpses. The one challenging that abstract sight wasn't me. The man that used the same source as me, vilely dedicated a holy verse.
White sunlight engulfed my vision. There were still traces of summer left in Ryuudouji. "Ts, too bright____" My eyes had been knocked out by the strong sunlight it seems. As if the colors had been inverted, the scenery had looked black for just an instant.
Being fully aware that I was there long ago, he did not bother to spare me a glance. What I just saw was an optical illusion, but he wasn't.
"________" Without saying anything to each other, we waited to see what would happen. What we thought we saw or what had seen was the same. The first to break the silence would prove his own impurity. That tension was exacerbated by the sound of insects.
"________" I watched closely the back that I was used to seeing. Now that I think about it, why isn't he wearing his red mantle? I can understand that it would be too hot to wear it in the summer, but it's already fall. No, he wasn't the sort of guy that would remove his equipment because of the weather.
But still, the sun's getting in the way. This was a favorite spot of mine, but having this many nuisances here is enough to make me want to pick a fight.
"________Hey. You wouldn't have happened to have been up somewhere high with that outfit?" The forehead that had been shot out recalled the pain that it will eventually feel. "Yes I was, but so what. I should not have seen you within the surrounding area."
"I thought so. I haven't seen you at night either. I just felt you were there."
At any rate, I have to cause everything that could possibly happen to occur. Kill or be killed. Once I cause both to happen, I only have to choose the outcome that's more convenient.
"....It's my turn. Are you patrolling Fuyuki with Saber again during the night?" "Yeah, I am. I haven't been to Shinto yet for some reason though." To be accurate, I couldn't go.
"I wouldn't recommend it. Don't come close to Shinto when it's dark. If you try to pass over the bridge from Miyamachou, you'll be attacked needlessly." "Huh? What, don't tell me you're the toll-bridge troll." "The Shinto area is my shooting range. All those who enter will receive warning shots."
From what he's saying, he's repulsed the other Servants. Because of that, Lancer, Rider, and Caster couldn't come near Shinto at night. Lancer's place of residence ought to be the church, which would mean he's had to be camping out in the mountains probably.
Well, that's not important.
".....Oh ho. And that includes me?" "You're an exception. I will shoot you between the eyes without any warning shots."
He's not lying. The will to kill me is real.
"Cripes, you still want to kill me, huh. Basically, with Tohsaka gone, now's your chance?" "Obviously. With Rin, it would become complicated. My Master dislikes fruitless battles. On the other hand, she is a warmonger."
I'll agree with that. Despite liking competition, Tohsaka isn't the type that aggresively desires conflict. She's the kind that would join once a fight started and if she is going to join, she'd aim to be #1.
"Yeah, if Tohsaka were around, she wouldn't let you do as you please. She'd wait and observe the situation until a battle began once she'd hear that the Heaven's Feel was resumed. .....That reminds me, I haven't asked you yet. Archer, what do you think about what's going on?"
"I don't intend to fight as a Servant. However, as I have been entrusted in Rin's absence, I cannot ignore it."
".....Well, well. A little more more aggressive in comparison to the other Servants, huh. Anyway, you want to get to the bottom of this just like me." "Unwillingly. The reason why I am not wearing my mantle is because of that. This kind of problem isn't my fight.
Ah ha. So that mantle had that kind of meaning to it. Archer wasn't in his serious mode. He was fulfilling the minimum requirements of a watchdog left behind to look for trouble while Tohsaka's gone.
"So can I interpret that as meaning you won't take part in the Heaven's Feel? You're just playing the role of a hero defending the peace of Shinto right?" "Yeah. You, on the other hand, are an exception to that. ____We don't need to wait until the evening. If you want, how about killing each other here?"
Archer responded to my murderous urge. Waiting for that, I twisted my mouth into a grin and,
"____T'was a joke. I don't feel like fighting here. And besides, musn't forget that. If this is an extension of the Heaven's Feel, the fighting's gotta be done in the night."
I smoothly swept aside his urge to kill me.
"This would be a good point to end this conversation. Well, see you later Archer."
I began to left the hill.
"______Fine. I will be serious when it concerns you. As a reenactment of the unfulfilled Heaven's Feel, I will kill the two of you with everything I have."
His voice carried the air of challenge and readiness. The bowman proclaimed that he would fight not me alone, but Saber and her Master.
______If that's the way you want to play. Let's see each other again once I'm ready.
Brutish bloodlust was erased by clean bloodlust. This was our license to kill each other. An implied letter of challenge has definitely been passed between us.

Decisive battle
I stepped into the boundary of Miyamachou and Shinto. I was reminded of words he had said to me once upon a time.
The Shinto area is my shooting range. All those who enter-
How many times have I been shot? Once? Several times? Whenever I cross this bridge,
You're an exception. I will shoot you between the eyes-
I had been defeated by you.
I will fight seriously As a reenactment of the unfulfilled Heaven's Feel, I will kill the two of you with everything I have.
The beating of my heart grew faster. The blood that had been sleeping, the rusted circuits within me were turned on.
.....Sorry to keep you waiting, partner.
My preparations were all in place. Starting from now, I am going to go kill you.....
The only other person on the bridge was Saber. Tonight, there were no cars going on the roadway. The sound of the wind blowing from the sea did not reach my strained thoughts.
"....This brings back memories.
We're laughing of the memories of that evening a half a year ago. This as well is a fragment of precious days for me, but right now I can't afford to be distracted by it.
Saber was picky when it came to disguise. This was apparently an aftereffect of having used costly disguises again and again during the previous fight....the 4th Heaven's Feel. She did mention that she had also been dressed up as a man in a black suit. From this, I could tell that Kiritsugu must have had a lot of trouble with Saber too, since she can't dematerialize.
"Hmph, it appears that you have something to say. Very well, let us settle this no......?" "Saber, above you!"
Saber repelled the "bullet" that was fired from 4 kilometers away. I started my circuits. I forced reinforcement sorcery into my pupils.
"I can see you, Archer."
Eyes that shouldn't be able to meet, met. The both of us became aware of an enemy that neither of us should be able to see.
The battle has begun. This night, I will cross this bridge....!
"Guh.......!? Shirou, what was that.....!? No, how did you detect that before I had....!?" "Not now, the next one's coming! Not enough space here! Carry me up above, Saber!"
"U, up? By up, what do you mean, Shirou?" "I mean the place that's higher and wider than where we are now. Things are going my way. Looks like today's been booked for us."
"The roadway on top of the bridge...yes, the footing and field of vision ought to be secure here but...." "Saber, incoming at 10 'o clock! See where's it coming from!"
-The second shot. An interval of 20 seconds. The memory that just now scraped past my brain reported to me that three shots are left.
"I, I have located him.....! I cannot tell what is happening precisely, but there is a sniper on the Center Building roof......!" Didn't expect anything less from Saber. We gained a lot by confirming his position through the last shot.
"What is the meaning of this!? That is....no, there is only one person that can do this! Why is he targetting us? I cannot believe it. How can it be that Archer of all people would want to fight in this war!?"
"I don't know. All I know is that he's dead serious about fighting us. ....Right now, do you actually need to hear any other reason?"
"It is as you say, Shirou. I will pay for what my behavior later. Now is the time to intercept Archer..!"
-The third shot. A grace period of two more shots. Saber's knees will give out by the 5th one and I will die when the 6th one hits. Those were the unchangeable results that had been drawn out from this tactic.
....Archer's sniping is increasing in power with each blast. So he's filling them with more mana each time Saber deflects them. The firing interval this time was 25 seconds. The next one will likely be 30 seconds. These intervals are his weak points. ..After he fires, if we attack him before he charges the next round, the same fate as before can be avoided.
....But how? The distance is a straight 4 kilometers away. Moving there through the roads will multiply the distance. With Saber's Noble Phantasm we can put up a fight, but Excalibur's area of effect is too large.
There is the risk of sweeping down not only Center Bill, but even the surrounding buildings. And on top of that, we're dealing with Archer. Knowing all of Saber's cards as much as he does, he must have a defense against Excalibur.
The effective strategy against an excellent sniper is to get close enough to him to engage in close-quarter combat. It was impossible, however, to get close to him without him noticing. If that is the case.....all that has to be done is to close the distance at high speed before the sniper responds.....!
"Saber!" I stared at her strongly to convey my intentions. If he has the eyes of a hawk, then the movement of my lips will give us away. The fight will be decided in an instant. I can't let him discover what we will do.
"......It is possible. However, my mana will not be enough. This may be rude, but even adding Shirou's mana to it, it will not...." "There's enough. I've still got this on me."
The last command spell on my left arm.
"Shirou....! No, that is our last resort! And even if I do succeed, who will protect you!?"
"I cannot agree to that idea. We should retreat and rework our approach...!" "I'm going to have to say no. After all, we tried that once." Saber can retreat by herself. But with me here, both of us will be killed. To pass this bridge, I've got to bet everything on this timing, on this moment. I might be able to start over again from the beginning, but I can't start over again within this single day. As a result, I will throw in everything that I had at this moment.
It wasn't important that I would lose a Command Spell. What mattered was nothing other than the fact that I defeated him, even if it was just once.
-The fourth shot.
The limit to Saber's ability to satisfactorily deflect the shots had come.
"I'll back you up with the Command Spell. Saber, can you do it?" There's no time. While this has been done before, this is still the best speed possible.
".....Good grief. You make decisions always so suddenly."
Saber released her stance. The way she was standing was that of a carnivore storing energy.
"......Your orders, Master. After all, I am your sword."
Her blade became visible. Cutting off the excess mana used for the sword, Saber poured all of herr mana into her own body.
"Time it for the next bullet....! Fifteen seconds....!"
The firing hammers are being released one by one. I had more to do than get the timing right. I have two major problems. It would be after the Command Spell was released that the true worth of Emiya Shirou would be questioned.
".....Command Spell, Trigger On."
10 seconds. Command Spells allow for the temporary strengthening of Servants. A powerful technique that converts that tremendous mana into energy for Servants. Enough power to fill Saber's enormous circuit. The Knight King that ruled all battle fields during the age of legends shall be reborn.
The order of the Command Spell was "Fly". This wasn't metaphorical flight. Literally, Saber will "leap" from here to the roof of Center Building.
Saber had once fought Rider in the past. A reenactment of that fight...no, if I limited movement to a straight line, then by raising the amount of mana for the leaping time, the distance covered will increase. If all of the mana of the Command Spell is used just for "leaping", then it shouldn't be impossible to reduce this long distance to zero......!
"In accordance to the vow of the Holy Grail, I, the 7th Master, order thee."
5 seconds.
Opposing us is a nameless bow. The Epic Spirit of hardenned iron that uses traced Noble Phantasms as arrows. The arrow edge being aimed for the definite strike is "Hrunting". ....Adjustment, plus 5 seconds. The delay increased. The bow, drawn to its greatest extent, further increased in mana to combat Saber's mana burning. That's why, the problem is the timing. It was risky to launch her before or at the same time. As Saber herself would become an arrow, if Saber leaps before Archer fires, Archer will aim at Saber. Therefore, it had to be immediately after he fired. A difference of 0.1 seconds from the point he fires is when we'll strike.
After firing his full-force shot and before he charges the next round, No, immediately after he finishes releasing the arrow, She will drive into him her sword directly....
Both of their mana roared. A showdown between the two that seemingly shook the moon.
5. Still early.
3. My Command Spell felt it would come apart from nervousness.
1. The creaking of the string. His fingers decided his target.
Saber! "Go, cut that sucker down...!!"
A flash that reduced the time to cross 4000 meters to nothing.
All of Archer's mana, the arrow that used the full force of the enchanted sword slided through the atmosphere, this time to decisively kill its target. The name of the traced sword is "Hrunting". An enchanted sword that will continue to aim to assail its target as long the sniper continues to aim, even it is deflected by Saber. The result wouldn't change even if Saber blocks it. No, the moment that Saber deflects is when the arrow roars, oriented towards the target.
As long as Saber expends her energy on defense, Archer's victory will remain unshakable. Yes. As long as she expends her energy on defense.
"......., !"
A moment that had not lasted even one second. It was the scene of the moment that the fingers of the sniper had been flung from the arrow. Saber disappeared from his target. The bowman saw through his enemys' true goal. But it was too late. The arrow had already been fired.
Who was it that had confirmed their victory? Should there be a bowman that can shoot his mark several hundred meters away, he still follows an unhideable theory. An arrow fired once cannot change its target. Whatever arrows that guarantee a definite hit he may have, a bowman cannot resist this law.
Yet........it is by conquering that law that he is the Epic Spirit of the bow....!
"......!?"
The arrow is changing its path. No, it was a path that was from the start meant to strike two enemies. That theory was sent back to us. A launched Saber had no means of dodging. The arrow transformed into a demonic bullet and will shatter the Knight King.
An unhideable fate of death that none could avoid.
....Yet. It is by rising above that fate that she is the Epic Spirit of swords.....!
The crossing of light and light. A tilting balance, as if it were passing.
The blue light went to the heavens as if singing of victory, The red light plummeted to the abyss as if telling of defeat!
Accompanied by a shockwave, Saber is released. The timing was perfect.
However.....this bridge isn't going to be penetrated with just a Command Spell. With my eyes coated by winds so powerful to shake the handrails, I glare at the approaching bullet. Time stops. In a blank shorter than a second, blood charges in my veins. 1 second since I used the Command Spell. No time to image. No time needed to image.
What I had forgotten will be used all for this moment...!
", Hah......, hah."
My breath stops short from nervousness and fear. My left hand is hot. I can see my death zero seconds later.
"Trace......"
Like a tired dog, my tongue comes out and blows against the wind. Physical information/Theory of sorcery coursing throughout. Until formation, zero seconds. Until direct hit,

.......That spectacle......Archer had certainly witnessed.
An attack that forced even the power to breathe to terminate in his left arm. The sparkling of the traced Noble Phantasm. The tearing of rows of muscles. Coupled with a fearless interception, that boy successfully defended against it miraculously.
In the matter of victory or defeat, the bowman still had the potential to win. The boy's sword is broken, while the arrow of the bowman, despite being repulsed, still survived. It will reverse its course and directly strike the boy in the brow. .....Yes. As long as the one who fired the arrow was still intact.
"....Less than 2 seconds from the 5th shot." How stupid to not be able to ready my swords, before cocking the 6th arrow. .....It seems that I may have reoriented myself towards my main occupation a little too much."
How ironic. It had been this man's style to use tactics that weren't like that of an bowman. The Servant, who preferred close-combat with his twin swords instead of his bow, couldn't respond to Saber's attack because he had returned to using his true method of warfare.
"It was a shot worthy of the name of Archer. Had your Master been with you, this end would not have happened."
"....Ha, don't be ridiculous, Saber. If THAT had been here, I couldn't have even had the chance to fight you." He returned her praise with laughter. The shape of lips wasn't one of conceipt, but one of honest companionship.
"Ch, I cannot hold my body together any longer. Do you have anything else to say Saber? It is the duty of the victor. If you have any questions, ask them." There was the sound of dispersing sand. There was no splattering of blood. Servants, as long as they are still living, will shed blood. But when that life is definitely severed, all that remains for them is to return to ash.
".....No, I have nothing to ask of you. If if you felt the need to take arms, there is a just reason for it. I cannot take anything more from you."
Archer chuckled. Should he take Saber's courtesy as kindness or cold-heartedness. When in battle, the knight carried both of these meanings.
.....There had been a time when he felt that paradox, that self-destructive strength of the heart, was beautiful.
Wrong. That memory couldn't be lost even now.
Long ago, there had been a meeting. A scene that probably not even lasted a second. Yet. Even should he fall into the depths of hell, he will recall that image vividly.
Hair luminated by the light of the moon. .....If he shuts his eyes, even now that image will remain in his heart.
"I lose this time, it seems. I'll be the first to go, Saber. Do your best at being fooled by me."
Scattering with scorn, Archer was destroyed, leaving behind the grudge of the defeated.
"........."
Saber sheathed her sword and weakly bit her lip. Above her was the black moon. It was almost as if poison would trickle from the cup-like outline. I arrived one hour after Saber did. I dragged my body, exhausted by that one attack, and reached the roof. Saber looked up at the eye steadily. Because of her tense expression, I couldn't bring myself to call out to her.
"....Shirou. You came to pick me up?" There was no vitality in Saber's voice. Archer isn't here....which meant she defeated him. I couldn't see any wounds on Saber, but leaping that far must have been painful.
"Sorry for getting here late. Saber, are you all right?" "I am unhurt. But Shirou, how are you? Your face is pale."
"......Doesn't feel like it, but you might be right. I've been getting the chills just earlier. Body's probably weaker since I used up all my mana."
I'm going to have to admit that was reckless. That time, I was so abnormally exhilarated that I couldn't think of the consequences.
"We should go home for now. We can start patrolling Shinto from tomorrow. For now, Shirou's recovery must take precedence." ".......Yeah, you're right. Getting this beat up is going to make it impossible to do any more."
We left the roof.
"Shirou. Did we really do the right thing?" "Yeah. If I had a choice between saying right or wrong, this is right."
No doubt about it. Once again, I passed through another new deed.
The battle of the bridge ended for now. Archer was defeated, the anomaly continued to prevail without change, and the night of the 4th day went on in idle slumber.
Completion is still a way to go, but for now I will take a rest. Even if this wish will go unfulfilled for now. If I keep going onwards, I will eventually see the end. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --
Couple of side notes. Technically Saber doesn't have any circuits since her whole body actually functions as one huge circuit. Also the flashback by Archer uses the exact same lines from the Fate Prologue. Also.....way too many pictures. You really can't get the feel of this by just reading text and looking at the random image. Anyway, this ends the bridge battle.

Most excellent work on your translations, arai. Having played stassy's video numerous times, I only had a vague idea about the details picking out words I could recognize. Now I have the pleasure of knowing exactly what happened, along with getting a better idea on how Command Mantras work. Again, many thanks for the translation.
